1. The Bible is clear about the beginning of life.
The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1).
2. International law recognizes the right for everyone to life.
Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person. (Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 3).
3. Medical science is clear about the status of the unborn child in its most early stages.
At the moment of conception, a unique genetic makeup is formed, different from any other human being. (National Institutes of Health, 2021).
4. The inherent dignity of the unborn child cannot be refuted by modern rational.
A reasonable person cannot understand why the personal opinion of the value of the unborn matters and that the matter of wanting or not wanting a child can transform value without any changes in intrinsic qualities .(Angus J.L. Menuge).
5. Our Commitment:
We, therefore, fully align with the position that states must put anything in their power to help women avoid abortion. (ICPD Programme of Action 1994 7.24). Facilitating effective policies protecting the family and family life, facilitating physical and medical care for women in need, and other policies concerning protecting the women and the life in the womb must be put into place.
