Peter Smith was born in Tasmania , Australia. When he was 30 years old he became a born again christian. In 1988, while at Bible College in Glasgow, he joined the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC). Since 1995 he has worked for SPUC and represented them at the United Nations. His work with SPUC ended 31 Oct 2017. Since then he works for the Christian Council International (CCI).
