Wilmer Hak is the advocacy and policy officer for the CCI at the United Nations Human Rights Council and the World Health Organization in Geneva. He studies Law at Erasmus University, Rotterdam. Part of his assignment involves the monitoring of treaties and resolutions in Geneva and speaking at meetings on behalf of the CCI. An important part of his work is also to reach out to diplomats/members of parliament/ambassadors from all over the world to advocate for Life, Family, and Freedom. The creation of a network with relevant international actors, to ensure rapid information sharing when needed concerning these principles, is also one of his main duties.
As a law student, he is interested in comparative law and international law. The legal and historical basis of the ‘cultural’ agenda behind many contemporary international documents has his special interest. The combination of these more legal arguments with Christian norms, values, and ethics is vital to protect and stand strong for Life, Family, and Freedom on an (inter)national playing field.
