The fight against the signing of the new EU-ACP Agreement continues.

The so-called Respect for Marriage Act was recently passed in the United States Senate. It is now headed for approval in the House of Representatives where it is expected to easily pass given the current Democratic majority there. President Biden has promised to sign it into law as soon as it comes to his desk. So, before year’s end, the United States will likely have endorsed and reaffirmed a way of life which is clearly against God’s Holy Word.

Peter Smith: "This system of human rights is not very compatible with a Christian world view. The Bible is mainly about our responsibilities, a concept completely lacking in this so called “rights-based approach” to different issues".

A new report from Church in Need shows that Christians are also facing increasing difficulties in Europe. There is an increase in violence but Christian views are also under increasing pressure.

In just a few days, America will go to the polls in a so-called midterm election. This election comes at a time when many Americans are concerned about the direction of our country both on national and an international scale. Wars and rumors of war abound in many places globally, and America’s position both defensively and offensively, seem threatened. Inside our nation, there is division, confusion and controversy. Considering these things, it is very hard to be optimistic about the future.

The conservative right-wing Fratelli d'Italia party has won the elections in Italy. Party leader Giorgia Meloni thus becomes Italy's first female prime minister. In the previous elections in 2018, this party received only 4 percent of the vote. Now over a quarter of voters have chosen her.

Due to the postponement of the signing of the new EU-ACP Agreement to 2023, CCI had more time last quarter to think and strategize on a proper advocacy campaign with its close allies.
